Ashley McCormick is an artist, curator and educator committed to developing and delivering innovative, high quality, engaging public realm arts projects that explore and enhance people's relationships to their neighbourhoods.
As a highly accomplished facilitator, Ashley places the arts at the centre of community development and engagement. She works collaboratively with others in the voluntary, public and private sectors, to establish effective creative relationships and strategies. These interactions are key to nurturing the aspirations of partners and audiences with the aim to better develop their skills and understanding.
Ashley takes an artist-led approach to devise and deliver projects which span engagement and learning programmes; playspace, landscape, exhibition and graphic design; public art commissioning and events production.
After graduating from the Royal College of Art in 1995, Ashley went on to become an Associate Partner with muf architecture/art from 1996 - 2005. Since then she has worked collaboratively with a number design practices including erect architecture, East architecture/landscape/urban design and Gort Scott Architects. She has lead projects for organisations as such the The Building Exploratory, Open City, Tate Britain, Camden Arts Centre, English Heritage and the London Legacy Development Corporation.
