bloom researched the open spaces of Takasu Estate, Chiba, Japan as part of a cultural exchange programme with Neighbourhoodwatching. In several sessions residents were invited to bring forth floral garments to be photographed. The floral images were filtered digitally to become a series of rationalised palettes which advance through an animated sequence. Research resulted in a proposal to repair and enhance two playspaces on Chiba Estate.

Client: NeighbourhoodWatching, CR3 and Chiba University
