kindness in kender enabled local people to explore and inform a new design for Hatcham Gardens, Lewisham. A creative engagement programme developed for The Building Exploratory involved local children in walking, poetry writing and image making sessions.
Inspired by an inscription found on an old wooden bench in the Gardens the children produced inscriptions for new furniture to encourage kindness in Kender. In addition they co-created promotional artwork, signage for a dog exercise zone and a learning pack - See The Trees.
